Overview & Registration Caribbean Central American Action and FUSADES host: ![]() Registration Package ( Purpose: To bring together leaders of the public and private sector to address critical issues challenging competitiveness in Central America. Target Audience: Government leaders, private sector executives, investors, academia, multilateral institutions, international organizations, and civil society; from Central America, the Dominican Republic, and the United States. Conference Format: One-day Conference featuring keynote presentations and interactive panel discussions. Conference Themes: The Conference will address how competitiveness in key sectors of the regional economy has been affected by the Dominican Republic-Central America-Free Trade Agreement (DR-CAFTA). Sessions on Financing and on Trade will examine investment and trade trends since the passage of the legislation. Concurrent roundtables focusing on the themes of Education, Logistics and Crime & Security will be catalysts for discussion on how these factors affect different industries’ short and long-term development and competitiveness. Among the industries to be highlighted are Tourism, Manufacturing, Transportation, and Energy and the Environment, with a focus as well on Small and Medium Enterprises. About FUSADES: CCAA has partnered with the Salvadoran Foundation for Economic and Social Development (FUSADES) to co-host this event. FUSADES is a private non-profit organization founded in 1983 by a group of independent entrepreneurs and professionals with the objective of improving El Salvador’s economic and social development. FUSADES’ fundamental goal is to carry out various activities aimed at increasing the economic, social, intellectual and physical well-being of El Salvador’s population, as well as its security, under the framework of a system of economic and individual freedom.
