Internship Opportunities

Caribbean Central American Action (C-CAA), a non-profit organization in Washington, D.C., is looking for students or recent graduates with ties or experience in Central America and the Caribbean as well as interest in international business development and international trade to join the organization as interns.

As part of our organization, you will assist program directors and executive management with the development of programs and seminars in the Caribbean/Central American region and in Washington D.C. C-CAA conducts programs in: agribusiness, energy, financial services, intellectual property rights, tourism, trade, transportation and telecommunications.

An integral part of your role at C-CAA will be working with our program directors to prepare for our conferences including the Annual Conference held every December. The Annual Conference is the leading forum for leaders in the public and private sector to share ideas and knowledge about business practices and trade in the Caribbean/Central American region. The event attracts hundreds of attendees including leaders in the private and public sector from the region and the United States.

As an intern at C-CAA, you will perform a variety of tasks including research, letter composition, database management, assisting with the development of program content, and other administrative tasks. We attempt to give our interns diverse tasks and projects to ensure they get the most out of their experience. Interns are asked to commit to a schedule of at least 20 hours per week.

To apply for an internship please send a cover letter and a copy of your resume to Sally Yearwood-Baker at sybaker@c-caa.org. In your cover letter, please indicate your tie or experience in the region as well as any foreign language skill.
